Dialogue between heritage and modernity
Renovation of original architectural elements:
the solid pine floors, the grand original doors and window frames, the traditional sequence of three interconnected rooms
— all typical of Brussels townhouses —
New elements using contemporary materials:
concrete blocks, polycarbonate, plastic, laminated wood and stainless steel
During the construction
Deep renovation of 335 m2 (counting 15m2 extension) creating 2 housings with a total of 7 bedrooms.
Everything was thoroughly renovated: from the basement to the attic, from bricks to tiles, from paint to the fork in the drawer ... including all the technical aspects (heating, electricity, ventilation).
